Do you subscribe to MTOD? GREAT! I have a question.

Does the quality of the video player get better once you shell out money to watch this garbage? Does the mobile app work better? Does the app on your Xbox One work AT ALL?

I don’t subscribe but was thinking about it, and no I’m not giving them my credit card for the 14 day trial just to find out it still sucks.

On Chrome, if I tab out from the video while paused and come back, its at FULL F-ING VOLUME. Some of the ads are NOTABLY louder (and of poorer quality) than others, not that that matters once I sub.

The mobile app won’t let me skip around in the episode if I watch a little here, and then a little later. It always starts the video over from the beginning.

The Xbox app NEVER worked. It would just dashboard so I gave up on it.

I just want to know that it gets better if I pay monies.

I’ve never tried the free version but I’ve never had any complaints about it on Chrome or iOS

The iOS app is decent. Still won’t save your spot in the videos. It has this obnoxious “feature” of starting every video for me on MUTE, regardless of which platform I’m using (website/iOS/Hulu). The Hulu version is a pain in the ass to navigate, so I find what I want on iOS then use that to find it on Hulu. It has gotten better, but it still sucks. I hate that they added all the awful fake car shows, but as long as they keep Freiberger, Finnegan, Dulcich, Tony Angelo, Lucky Costa and Fred Williams around making their content, I’ll subscribe.

I use the app on my iPad and Fire Stick and it seems to work fine . On the iPad i t obnoxiously autoplays the most current episode when you go in to browse the episodes which is annoying but otherwise it works fine. I’ve only used it on the Fire Stick a couple of times but it seemed to play ok.

I only use it on a browser in desktop. Only issue I’ve ever had is that it starts videos on mute until I either unmute it or hit full screen.

I use both the iOS app on my iPad and also the app on my Xbox and both of them work excellent for me. I’ve never heard about all of these problems you listed.

Been doing it to me for months. There’s no denying the player sucks. Thankfully, the content (original MT stuff) makes up for it. Fo r me anyway....

I have only ever used it on my computer (don’t even have a TV) but have also never had any issues with the player .

The xbox app has never worked for me either. I have all the same questions you do! Thanks for posting

Seeing peoples answers, i m not totally convinced to shell out the money. There’s still plenty of pretty good f ree content out there. And I’ve tried to focus the money/time actually going out to c ar shows and events instead of towards more screen time on the internet.

I don’t use the Xbox app but I haven’t had any video quality issues on PC or the mobile app. It is really annoying that ever video starts on mute though.
